Heidman Inc dba as McDonald’s

As the name implies Heidman Inc dba as McDonald’s is a franchise operation of 22 McDonald fast food restaurants in the Akron area with over 1100 employees.

Anne Base is the Controller where she oversees the accounting department, prepares financial statements and is also in charge of safety, benefits and human resource functions.

Anne has been a member of the council for two years and became a member to broaden her safety perspective and gain information that can be used in their safety programs.

Her biggest pet peeve is with the BWC sending out settlement suggestion upon determination of PPD. The environment she says is already excessively litigious and these notices only serve to aggravate the issue.

Some of her main safety concerns are slips and falls and she is looking for any suggestions that will help her combat the problem.

Is a local and intrastate transportation company with 5 employees.

Don Johnson is Manger were he oversees all phases of operations including billing, phones, rates and quotes, maintenance, dispatch, pickup appointments and deliveries, directs the operations for trailer loading and unloading, negotiates equipment leasing, supervises and hires the drivers and of course is responsible for the safety programs.

Don and Distribution Freight have been members of the council for one year and joined to become more educated in safety and health issues and become more aware of safety related issues.

Some of his major concerns are drivers operating safely, obeying traffic laws and local ordinances as they normally haul hazmat materials.
